Can I disable importing orders from Shopee?

Yes you can. Just click on "stop importing orders from Shopee" on the Shopee Preferences page

However, this is not recommend because if orders are disabled, stock syncing only works from Shopify -> Shopee. I.e. when you change the stock on Shopify then the stock on Shopee will update to match the Shopify stock.

We use orders to track Shopee stock changes. So if orders are disabled, we can't track stock changes from Shopee -> Shopify. If you want to keep Shopify stock in sync, please remember to manually update the stock or manually create the order.

For example, this is how it we track Shopee stock changes when orders are imported:

  1. Shopify stock is 10
  2. The app updates Shopee stock to 10
  3. Someone creates an order for the product on Shopee
  4. Shopee stock is now 9 because Shopee removes the stock
  5. The app creates a new Shopify order with the product
  6. Because there is a new Shopify order, Shopify stock now goes down to 9

If you disable importing orders from Shopee, this is what will happen:

  1. Shopify stock is 10
  2. The app updates Shopee stock to 10
  3. Someone creates an order for the product on Shopee
  4. Shopee stock is now 9 because Shopee removes the stock
  5. No order is imported, Shopify stock is still 10.

That's why it's important to manually update the stock if you disable importing orders.
