Shopify's 2025 Order creation

Shopify is forcing everyone to use a new Order creation system in 2025. We'll call the different systems the new way and the old way.

With the new way,

1. The app can set the Channel Field on the order correctly. See this for more information: Why is all the orders from Lazada and Shopee went into only Shopee channel?
2. Shopify no longer crashes and creates duplicate Shopify orders
3. Shopify no longer creates fulfillment issues
4. Shopify order creation is faster
5. Shopify Orders no longer include taxes
6. Shopify Orders can no longer be edited

With the old way

1. The app cannot set the Channel Field on the order correctly.
2. Shopify might crash and creates duplicate Shopify orders
3. Shopify might fulfillment issues
4. Shopify order creation is slower
5. Shopify Orders can include taxes
6. Shopify Orders can be edited

The current policy is to default to the new way. However, if you require 5 or 6, please let us know and we can set you up to use the old way.
