Why is Lazada 'Extend Connection' not working?
You have to wait for the current connection to expire before you can extend it.
For example, if your store's connection ends on the 21st of August 11.59PM, you can only reconnect the store on the 22nd of August at 12.00AM.
For context, at the start of July 2024, the first wave of users plus our own store were starting to get notifications that their store access is about to expire and they had to renew it. All of them tried it but it didn't work, our store included.
After communicating with Lazada, they responded that the way it works is the store tokens expiries run independently after another.
Here's an example of the flow:
- A user looking to extend the store has to first make an order on Lazada's marketplace. (guide: How do I extend my connection to Lazada?)
- Each order is "6 months long", and only 3 orders can be acquired at a time cumulatively going up to 18 months max.
- After making the order, the user has to activate the service for the app to receive authorization for 6 months (more info about the activation flow: How do I extend my connection to Lazada (alternative)?)
- Once activated, they have to wait for it to expire before they can activate the order again every 6 months.
- For example, if they activated on 1 January 2024 at 12pm, they'll have access until 1 July 2024 at 12pm. The user has to wait until after 1 July 2024 12pm before they can activate the 2nd order and renew the token.
