Why do I have to fix my product before adding it to Shopee?

We understand your frustration with this limitation. Unfortunately Shopee has strict rules about product names, descriptions, prices, weights, stock and variants. We try to make sure the products are set up correctly before we add them to Shopee. We do this so that products be added to Shopee without problems.

For example, if you try to create the product on Shopee, there is a limit of 120 characters on the product name. The app tries to make sure the product fits all those limits before adding it to Shopee.

The app will stop you from adding products that break Shopee rules until you fix them.

Once you've updated the product name to be less than 120 characters, you'll be able to add the product to Shopee.
