How do I fix Lazada's "The Variations Size Exceeds Maximum Size Limit" error

Starting in July 2025 Lazada added strict rules for categories. When you get this error:

The Variations Size Exceeds Maximum Size Limit, The Size Limit is: 2

One possibility is that, Lazada's new rules are

• On Lazada: A category can have maximum 2 options
• On Lazada: A category must have the option "Bedding Size"
• On Shopify: the product already has 2 options: "Color", "Frame Type"

The app will try to create a Lazada product with Color, Frame Type, Bedding Size. But Lazada will block it because it violates the rule "A category can have maximum 2 options".

To fix this you have a few choices

1. Go to Shopify Admin and remove one of the options. E.g. remove "Frame type". The app will then try to create a Lazada product with Color, Bedding Size
2. Manually fix the options by going to Lazada Seller Center
3. change to a different category that does not have these rules. Login to Lazada Seller Center to fix this
